I translate blocks of text into visual communication

Bio
I was born in Milano, Italy in 1988 and I’m now an award winning Illustrator working with some of the most prestigious magazines and brands all over the world.
Some stuff happened in between.
I attended a scientific high school (we have to pick specialized schools in Italy) with mediocre results and I graduated (by miracle) in Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano in 2011. I then opted for Communication Design for my specialistic degree but quickly switched to MiMaster, a one year master in Editorial Illustration. Through them, I managed to publish my first ever illustration, no less than on The New York Times. It was 2013.

After that my illustration career took a while to take off, and I worked a bunch of jobs including beekeeping, bartending, table waiting, hostel managing. I even relocated to New Zealand for a year.
in 2017, back in Milano, I attended a Motion Design course at C.f.p. Bauer trying to make it into a design studio. I subsequently went to Bonsai Ninja Studios for an internship, but at the same time I started getting steady commissions from The Economist and other important newspapers, and the rest is history.
I now produce images for the most renowned magazines in the world, local publications, book publishers, communication agencies, beer producers, sport teams, charities and many more.
My Portfolio I purely digital but I love to experiment with printmaking and traditional techniques.
On top of my art career, I’m a struggling guitarist (my band is called Gatti Bombardieri), I enjoy long distance multi days tent camping bicycle trips and I have played rugby at a good level for most of my life (now retired for good).
